VMC marine boards are used for decorative fire rated walls, linings and ceilings in accommodation areas and public spaces on all types of seagoing vessels and offshore platforms.
Our materials are in full compliance with all fire protection requirements for the safety of passengers and crew onboard ships and offshore facilities.
VMC boards are made from vermiculite (aluminum-iron-magnesium-silicate), a natural inorganic mineral belonging to the mica-minerals group. Raw vermiculite is exfoliated by a high temperature heat treatment in the production process and expands to a lightweight aggregate which is blended with inorganic binders and pressed to form boards.
